Yesterday afternoon, we stopped by the A.P.C. sale at 92 Perry Street after a little bird told us they added additional stock since the sale started last Thursday. In our first review, we urged shoppers to hurry down to the store if they wanted access to most coveted styles, but upon returning to the sale yesterday, it's safe to say the shop is still well stocked with outerwear, fall/winter boots, and men's suiting.
The most recent additions to the sale include pajamas, bathing suits, and an assortment of pieces from the brand's Madras collection. Most of these are marked up to 70% off, and there are additional sizes of most of the styles on display. Also, the added shoes definitely merit a trip—or a return visit.
In a box by the front door are an assortment of belts, tights, hats, and scarves, all marked 70% off. Most of these items were available last week when we dropped in, but now there are bathing suits. Marked down from $285 to $200, the classic string bikini is available in sea foam green, candy apple red, azure, and pinstripes.
The brand's Madras cotton pajama sets are near the register for $27, and the additional womenswear from the fall resort line include a jean jumper, a couple plaid madras shirt dresses ($54), and a black blazer with a velvet collar ($163). We also spotted a black sparkly bustier that was originally $275 and now going for $82.50. The staff are more than willing to point out which pieces they've added since the sale opened last week.
The highlights of the second week, though, are the shoes and boots that weren't on display last Thursday. Caramel wedge moccasins are located in the front window ($144 ) just next to the Botte Camarguaise boots ($168. We also spotted a few pairs of Senelle boots in mustard and camel, but staff warned there were only a couple additional pairs in stock.
To recap, the sale runs through December 31st. Mostly everything is marked down up to 70% off, however, jeans are still full price. There will not be any more markdowns at the sale, but the storefront is well stocked. For more info, see the dealfeed below.—Naomi Collett Ritz
