COBBLE HILL—Double parking has apparently been a serious problem outside of the Trader Joe's on Court Street, which is why the Department of Transportation has just turned that area into a no-parking zone. Dave Abraham, the vice president of the Cobble Hill Association, explained: "Obviously there are a lot of people coming to Trader Joes on foot, but many still need a car—whether it's a personal car or a car service. [Double parking] happens a lot throughout the community, but we can't over look the dangers it can cause." Sorry, folks. [DNAinfo]
EVERYWHERE—Are you just now getting around to looking at your New Year's Eve party invitations, and realizing that there's a dress code attached? No worries: Let Frank, Racked's resident columnist, decipher those for you. He begins: "Informal is a bit of a misnomer—this isn't casual Friday. Rather, think of informal as semi-formal: dark suits, a tie, evening-appropriate knee-length dresses." Head to our sister site for more pointers. [Racked National]
