Last year, the after-Christmas sale at Saks Fifth Avenue ended in complete and utter chaos. According to reports, security guards were called to the eighth floor—home to the shoe salon and a 60% off discount before noon—to "put a lid on the shoppers' rage," and the line got so intense that it snaked around the entire department.
This time, Saks wasn't playing around. WreakHavocNY lined up bright and early today, and the first thing they were told upon entering is that there would be zero tolerance for running. (The guard posted at the door spoke nicely, but it was clear that he meant business.) As for the scene inside, they write: "Once we arrived on eight, we saw no fights, but the standard pushing and shoving was in full swing."
