When we walked by the upcoming Equipment store in Soho yesterday morning, the outer facade looked just the same as it did in October: With signage that read "Opening Summer 2012." That date is long gone, but the Times reports that it should finally be opening tomorrow.
And they may have eve peeked inside: The paper's latest Scouting Report explains that the boutique "stays true to the neighborhood's loft architecture with a gallerylike ambience." It'll also carry the brand's signature silk shirts—you know, the heavy hitters of the most recent sample sale—along with additional ready-to-wear and sunglasses designed with Garrett Leight, the son of the Oliver Peoples founder.
