The A.P.C. surplus sale began this morning at 11am, and was met with a buzzing crowd of die-hard fans. The Parisian label's surplus store at 92 Perry Street has marked its merchandise up to 70% off, which includes plenty of slim-cut pants, collaborations, and an exclusive selection of knits and outerwear.

Unlike the last sale, which highly favored women's apparel, the store is stuffed with menswear, from suiting to slacks and sweaters and shoes. However, the selection for ladies is overall pretty sparse—unless your main goals are either fall boots or outerwear. There are plenty of both.

Both men's and women's footwear are interspersed throughout the store, so take a lap and be sure to check on counters and on the floor for suede men's desert shoes, ($129), suede tennis shoes ($84), Vans loafers, and unisex A.P.C. + Nike All Courts ( $42 ).

For women, the moccasin heel is available in suede for $124.50 (originally $415) and croc-embossing for $129 (originally $430). However, the regal Chic 70S Boot ($217, originally $720), which is available in three shades of brown, shined above all else at the front of the store.

In the outerwear section, the Harris Tweed cape and overcoat are available for just $181.50 and $204, (originally $605 and $680). Reminiscent of a European countryside coat closet, herringbone hangs smartly next to quilted trenches, ($204 from $680), and buttery suede safari jackets ($261 from $870).

We also saw a handful of shirt dresses from the Madras collection, and a few great sheer knits in camel and rosy pink. Blouses, buttondowns, pullovers, and slacks are piled in a jumble on the shelves at the left of the store, and men and women alike were yanking pieces off the shelves faster than staff could fold and restock.

Men's suiting is 40% off, and can be found on a rack in the back of the store. At $412.50 (originally $825), there are some beautiful patterns and materials on display, like a black and white pinstripe collaboration with Carhartt. Unfortunately, the pants are all large and extra-large. And a bright blue unisex-appropriate puffer jacket, at $175 down from $635, was sadly only available in extra-small and extra-extra-small.

The store is cozy, to say the least, especially with heat cranked up and eager shoppers bouncing around the busy storefront. At noon, the scene was borderline chaotic, as jeans and shorts were piling into bins by the register. Staff warned the crowd, however, that A.P.C.'s signature jeans were still full price.

Accessories are also worth taking a peek at. Leather belts and winter hats are mixed up in boxes by the entrance. The A.P.C. + Incase raw denim and lambskin laptop case is $62.50 (originally $125), and select jewelry is $27 to $31.50 (originally $90 to $105).

The sale runs all the way through December 31st, though we don't recommend waiting much longer to head down there. For additional info, see the dealfeed below.—Naomi Collett Ritz
