Devorado Vintage's Warehouse Sale; Local Handmade Gifts

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

EAST VILLAGE—For three days, Devorado Designer Vintage is pulling three racks out of its warehouse and marking them down 25% to 50% off. The collection includes party dresses, coats, and unique vintage items, so they'd work just as well as a New Year's Eve outfit or a last-minute gift. If you're unfamiliar with the shop, they carry vintage from the '40s through the '90s, and their selection includes Dior, YSL, Alaia, Balenciaga, Chanel, and other big high-end names. [RackedWire]

WILLIAMSBURG—Stop by Variety at 368 Graham Avenue for a party, a sale, and a benefit for Hurricane Sandy relief. Handmade gifts from four local brands—Arc of La, Deborah Rice, Goldie's Natural Beauty, and Mondays—will all be present, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Smallwater, a grassroots disaster based initiative based out of the Rockaways.
