The Alice + Olivia sample sale at 260 Fifth Avenue officially opens to the public this morning, and Mizhattan stopped by yesterday for the friend's and family preview. She reports that if you're in the market for party dresses, you should absolutely swing by. Evening dresses start at $199 and day dresses are priced at $129, but the sample dresses start at just $99.
You'll also find tops and sweaters for $69 to $99, denim for $79, and sequined skirts for $129. Pants are $99, regular non-sequined skirts are $79, jackets are $149, and fur is priced at $299. And actual sample prices start at a very reasonable $29 for loungewear.
She adds that the shoe selection boasts glitter ballet flats for $79, heart-print platforms for $99, and leopard-print booties for $179. As far as accessories go, cocktail rings that were originally $95 are each just $19, chain necklaces are $59, and crystal cuffs are $99.
Overall: The discounts aren't sky-high for some of the fancier pieces, but if you're in desperate need of a last minute holiday outfit or something for New Year's Eve (or, if you just really like sequins), the sale's worth a trip—especially if you can snag one of the $99 samples.
