Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Lower East Side veterans Lindsey Thornburg and Some Odd Rubies have just joined cool-girl forces to open Store One One 4, a joint shop at 114 Stanton Street. Lindsey and Ruby Canner explained to us that the new store evolved over the past year; the friends have shared work spaces in the past, and they've decided to turn their newfound store into a "community environment." Altogether, it encompasses a retail area in the front, along with a design space and room for pattern and sample makers.
Merchandise at the boutique ranges from signature reworked vintage from Some Odd Rubies, and Lindsey Thornburg's classic cloaks, knits, and separates, along with a well-stocked table of jewelry in the center of the store. Click through the gallery above for the full tour of the inside.
