How much would you pay for something that Beyoncé once sweated in? $1,000? $2,000? Your first born? Fortunately, to own the gold silk tuxedo from the Love on Top video, all you'd have to spend is $750. However, that's if you're the first one to snag it at the Park Avenue Garage's charitable consignment sale, which begins on Thursday night.
Here's one more tidbit to sweeten the pot: The Post reports that designer Douglas Hannant had to sew the sleeves back onto the jacket before it was sent to the sale, because Beyoncé danced so hard in it that they fell off. Other than that, the sale will also include one-of-a-kind items from high-end fashion houses, as well as pieces from notable New Yorkers' own closets, including those of Badgley Mischka's designers and Valesca Guerrand Hermes. Opening night tickets are $50, and 100% of the proceeds from them will benefit New Yorkers for Children.
