The Tory Burch sample sale at Clothingline opened early yesterday, but that doesn't seem to be because there was a surplus of merchandise to unload. In a nutshell, Mizhattan reports that there is only one display case of shoes and the racks of clothing look pretty bare.
As for the shoe selection, she adds that "wedge pumps, ballet flats, driving shoes, knee-high boots, and leather booties were available mainly in solid black & dark brown. There were no sandals or espadrilles." Sneakers are $99, driving shoes are $125, ballet flats are $150, pumps and wedges are $165, booties are $200, and boots are $250.
The pricing for bags is as follows: The Stitched logo swingpack is $95, the Roslyn mini crossbody is $125, and the City Reva clutches and Tiny Tory totes are $150. $195 will get you the Roslyn satchel, the Roslyn striped tote, the City foldover messenger bag, the City tote, or the Michelle tote. The Julian small bag, City hobo, and Stitched logo hobo are all $225, and the Maisey shopper, Maisey tote, Maisey hobo and the Julian top handle satchel are all $250.
As mentioned above, the ready-to-wear selection is on the slimmer side, with only about 15 racks of merchandise. Mizhattan only mentioned three highlights—a mosaic-print coat, the Faith dress, and a logo crewneck sweater—but took plenty of pictures of the rest. One of our own commenters, though, mentioned that sizing was good.
