With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching, it's about time for all of the city's holiday markets to start springing up. Brooklyn Flea just announced they'll open that weekend, and the Union Square Holiday Market is officially slated to kickoff on Friday, November 16th.
Gothamist reports that this time around, a portion of the market will be dedicated to Brooklyn vendors. They explain, "As for Little Brooklyn, the new district is what you might expect: a cluster of local, handmade goods made by precious Brooklyn artisans with enormous beards." Translation: the market will include locally and handmade leather belts and jewelry, hand-blown glass housewares, and bags and accessories made from recycled plastic.
