Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Tomorrow, Housing Works will begin its annual Fashion for Action event. As usual, the silent auction and sale will raise funds for homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS. This year, however, an additional charitable element will be added. On opening night, 20% of the proceeds will assist with Hurricane Sandy Recovery Relief. In addition, the sale will focus on assisting those with HIV/AIDS who were displaced from the storm or who suffered damage to their homes in Staten Island and Far Rockaways.

This year's sale will include specialty shops from Brooks Brothers and BCBGMaxCAzria, along with merchandise from Diane Von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Christian Louboutin, Rebecca Taylor, and plenty more. Tickets are still available for tomorrow's opening night event at the Altman Building here, with general admission starting at $150. Starting Thursday and through Sunday, the sale is free and open to the public at the Housing Works store in Chelsea.
