On Friday, Ralph Lauren announced that it will shutter its Rugby line by the end of next year. For now, the Greenwich Village and West Village outposts are still open, and a staffer at the University Place store said they won't be closing until February. Considering that the company has a habit of moving its stores around, we're curious if a different branch of the Ralph Lauren empire might open up shop in the locations.
Update: A previous version of this story misreported that the Rugby store at 390 Bleecker Street had closed. However, at that time it was the women's store at 380 Bleecker Street that shuttered. The change has been reflected above.
