On Saturday, the Shophound found almost the entire H&M x Margiela collection left for sale at the H&M flagship on Fifth Avenue. The same was true at the new Columbus Circle location. Why? Maybe it's the way the collection was stocked—H&M did say they were carrying it in more stores than usual. Or maybe it's the pricing and the styling, which were both less accessible than in previous designer collaborations.
Last week, Women's Wear Daily reported that the collection had drawn smaller crowds than usual. H&M didn't seem too worried, though. A spokesperson told the paper, "We are pleased with the selling of the collection; it is exactly what we expected."
