Racked NY Is Looking for an Associate Editor! Could It Be You?

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Attention job-seekers: We're searching for an associate editor to write about fashion, shopping, and all things retail in New York City. Are you a blogger with a shopping problem, or a shopper with a blogging problem? Let us enable you!

The idea candidate is obsessed with stores, trends, sales, and local fashion news, and has the journalism chops to cover them all on a day-to-day basis. We're looking for an independent, versatile editor who doesn't mind starting the day at a sample sale and ending it at a fashion event, and who can write about everything from the Fulton Mall revamp to the Barneys Christmas windows.

The job is full-time with salary commensurate with experience, health benefits, and a matched 401(k). To apply, write a paragraph about yourself and a paragraph about why you're right for the gig and email it to jobs@racked.com with the subject line "Racked NY Associate Editor." If you've got a personal blog, Tumblr, or Twitter, include links to those as well. No resumes, please. If we like what we see, we'll follow up quickly.
