Unsurprisingly, SoulCycle and its instructors aren't about to hunker down just yet in preparation for Hurricane Sandy. According to an email blast sent out to riders this morning, additional classes have been added to today's schedule at various locations. Just in case you want to get one last spin in before you're stuck in your apartment for a few days, eating the entire contents of your refrigerator before they spoil.
The East 83rd Street, Union Square, and West 77th Street studios have all added 11:30am classes; the email from the latter reads:
Like everyone else, we're monitoring the hurricane very closely. But based on current conditions and reports, we've decided to keep the cardio party going this a.m.! We've just added an 11:30AM class with MELANIE GRIFFITH to the W 77th Soul Schedule. If you're nearby, come ride the storm with us. We'll be watching as Hurricane Sandy progresses this afternoon and provide you with more updates as they day goes on.
In other news, the Tribeca location will be closed through this evening, with plans to reopen Tuesday.
