The Design Trust for Public Space has just released a report on how to revitalize the Garment District. Some of the more ambitious suggestions include installing a connected rooftop park called the "Fashion Skyway," pop-up shops inside loading docks, and runway shows in the street. And then there are the more feasible ideas, like altering the zoning laws and giving tax credits to designers who produce locally. [NYT]
