In today's Goop newsletter, apparent Brooklyn lover Gwyneth Paltrow has outlined everywhere she likes to shop in the borough, from boutiques in Cobble Hill to Park Slope to Williamsburg.
Why? She explains: "Brooklyn has changed so much since I was a kid, and parts of it are probably unrecognizable from when my dad was born at Brooklyn Jewish hospital in 1943. A lot of this has been good change in the form of art, culture, neighborhood-defining restaurants, shops and more." Also: the Barclays Center. In other words, she has a bunch of opinions on where to spend a lot of money in Brooklyn.
Most of her picks come from Williamsburg, and include CB I Hate Perfume, Darr, Sprout Home, and Mociun. She's also a fan of Pilgrim, and assures that it will "kit out the cool dudes who surf, look good, listen to hard-to-find LP's and collect coffee table books." Additionally, she likes the Brooklyn Flea.
Whilst in Park Slope, Gwyn likes to hit up Bird, A. Cheng and BKLYN Larder. In Cobble Hill, it's Shen Beauty. If you're interested in everywhere else she frequents (say, where she eats smoked trout or enjoys a "dignified cocktail"), then you're probably already a goop subscriber. If not, you can take a look at the issue here.
