The store is reportedly looking for a new uptown location after getting priced out of its Columbus Avenue space. MIDTOWN—In the world of sample sales, sometimes words mean the opposite of what they should. That's why we're always getting asked to publicize "private" sales, and it's why when Mikimoto says they're having an "employee sale", what they really mean is that they're having a sale that's open to you, pearl-coveting non-employee of the Mikimoto corporation. According to Mizhattan's intel, this year's employee sale begins at noon on Wednesday, January 18 and runs through that Friday at 680 5th Avenue. If it's anything like last year, expect a crazy line.
