New York Observer reporter Drew Grant enlisted celebrity stylist Mary Alice Stephenson to help turn her into a society lady. Despite Grant's many protestations that she's a fashion illiterate—and despite one freaky hallucination involving an angry Jimmy Choo sandal—you get the sense that she secretly had a great time. And she picked up some wisdom along the way: "Styling was 10 percent inspiration, it would seem, and 90 percent sewing clothes directly onto your body." [NYO]
