This Saturday, the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa closed its doors at 691 Fifth Avenue, and on Thursday, it will reopen inside the Ferragamo building at 663 Fifth Avenue. The new flagship will include a 2,500 square foot penthouse terrace that overlooks Midtown, as well as a private VIP entrance for celebrities who would like to have their $245 Signature Stress Melter Ritual in peace, thank you. The Post reports that there will also be a spa cafe, a boutique selling Elizabeth Arden products, celebrity aesthetician Claudia Bode, and a "full service steam room" and "relaxation room."
CEO Todd Walter will have you know that this is a pretty big upgrade; he says that the new spot "showcases our growth, modernity and passion for innovation and expansion while honoring our classic heritage," and adds that now there are "better amenities." Perhaps we'll get a chance to take those for a spin during Spa Week.
