Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Flatiron District travel bookstore Idlewild just opened a second location in Cobble Hill. What you'll find there: Thousands of books in French, Spanish, and Italian, as well as two staffers from French-speaking nations. What you won't find: Books in English. The idea is to provide lots of literary backup for the languages lessons offered in the storefront next door. All taught by native speakers, the classes last ten weeks and can currently be purchased at a discount rate: Get a 75-minute evening course for $285, or a 60-minute daytime course for $195.
