Famous drag bar Lucky Cheng's plans to leave its East Village location for Hell's Kitchen this spring, and owner Hayne Suthon is bringing another East Village resident along with her. According to the Local, designer and scenester Richie Rich plans to sell his new line of clothing out of the bar's upper floor. Suthon told the site that she'll be working with Rich on Lucky Cheng swag, a category that obviously includes false eyelashes. They'll even have a runway in the space, and they shouldn't have much trouble finding willing catwalkers downstairs.
But what does the ghost of Marilyn Monroe make of this? Well! In an update to the original story, Rich says that he lives in an apartment once shared by Monroe and Arthur Miller, and just last night he used a Ouija board to ask her what she thought of his business plan. She responded, "I love you." which is either an oblique sign that she's giving them her approval or a clever way to avoid answering the question.
