The Saks consolidation sale begins today, and Mizhattan stopped by yesterday for the pre-sale to see exactly what will be marked down. She reports that every item on sale arrives on the ninth floor marked down to 60% off, and from there, Saks takes off another 25%. This, of course, does not make everything 85% off, but rather, 70%—though some items are marked down to 75% off.
She adds that, "Although discounts were amazing, I must say the amount of merchandise available was noticeably scarce compared to last summer. In addition, there was less diversity in the designer labels." However, she concludes that it's definitely still worth a swing-by, as designers up for grabs include Jason Wu, Dolce & Gabbana, Proenza Schouler, Stella McCartney, Valentino, and more.
While there, she spotted a Stella McCartney military coat for $433, a Philosophy dress for $327, and a striped Proenza dress for $547. If none of that tickles your fancy, don't forget about the Barneys and Opening Ceremony sales, which have also just hit 70-75%, or the less discounted Oak sale that just reached the 40% off plateau.
