Tomorrow, Soho newcomer REI plans to invade Chinatown's Sara D. Roosevelt Park for a day-long festival of winter activities. The outerwear chain plans to run clinics on Nordic skiing, winter camping, and snowshoeing, as well as ice sculpting demonstrations. Naturally, they'll also be showing off their latest products, though we have no idea how you test-drive a snowboard in a Manhattan city park when it's nearly 40 degrees and sunny. If you go, remember to wear your new coat—you know, the one you just bought on sale because we haven't had any snow this winter.
