NEW YORK—Here's a sweet way to support two Brooklyn businesses while getting your Valentine's Day buying done early this year. Starting at the end of the month, fragrance line MCMC and jewelry line Odette New York will sell a package that pairs the former's LOVE perfume oil with the latter's Arrow ring. Both the scent and the ring are hand-made, and together they cost $99. Find them on each brand's website beginning January 27. [Racked Inbox]
EVERYWHERE—Target announced their new collaboration initiative today, and it's a little...different. Instead of partnering with a major high-end brand, they're teaming up with a range of local businesses around the country: a dog treat bakery in Boston; a posh candy store in San Francisco; a vintage homewares store in Connecticut; a beauty store in Aspen; and a clothing boutique in Miami. This seems like a clever way for the brand to align itself with mom-and-pop shops, but will it sell? [Racked National]
