So, what's going on with the tents at Lincoln Center for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week? We stopped by to have a look at the work in progress last week, which included scaffolding and a good deal of construction workers. Well now the facade is up, and our sister site points out that it kind of looks like a Mercedes-Benz Dealership. (Another thought: The Shophound says it's like a "very chic refrigerator.")
A press release calls it "a sleeker, sexier look," though we're kind of thinking that these don't really look like tents anymore. In addition to the structural makeover, the brand-new facade will also have "the potential to integrate digital multimedia" in seasons to come. But you know, stranger things have happened—like the recent announcement from Mercedes-Benz that they'll be branching out into the world of fragrance next year.
