Earlier this month, our sister site took a trip over to Nicola Formichetti's pop-up store in Tribeca, where contest winners were getting a chance to preview the upcoming Uniqlo Innovation Project, which WWD describes as a line of "high-performance clothing" created by Formichetti.
And today, we present you with some lookbook images! Think parkas with giant pockets, zip-front jackets, and Heattech T-shirts that are antibacterial. Basically, it's a little less crazy than what we had expected after seeing the images from the pop-up, but it's definitely not your run-of-the-mill Uniqlo.
A staffer at the Soho location says that the collection should arrive sometime in November, after some "room is made" from the sell-through of the last +J collection. So for all those shedding tears over the loss of the long-running Jil Sander collab, it seems as though there's something else that's pretty exciting to look forward to.
The collection also sounds like it will be right at home in the new Uniqlo flagship on Fifth Avenue, slated to open on October 14. As we previously reported, the new store will have more than 300 LED screens placed throughout for a "futurist" feel.
