Yesterday, a nonprofit released a study suggesting that Walmart could cost NYC almost 4,000 jobs. But Runnin' Scared explains that the report calculates what New York would look like if Walmart had the same share of the market here that it does across the country. For the math to work out, Walmart would have to open 159 New York stores, which remains an unlikely scenario—at least for now. [Runnin' Scared]
