Manhattan Carpet & Flooring—formerly a chain of 21 carpet stores under a different name—has seen its fair share of interesting customer interactions. Current owner David Stanger, who runs one of the two remaining stores on 23rd Street, tells DNAinfo about his most memorable. They report: "There was the woman with the Fifth Avenue apartment and a separate studio just for her dog," and then, "there was the strip club that always paid cash for its carpeting." [DNAinfo]
