Just what Meatpacking needs: More high heels! Next up to tackle the neighborhood is a Nicholas Kirkwood boutique at 807 Washington Street, which WWD has given a vague opening date of "early next year."
After seven years of making shoes not so conducive to cobblestone, Kirkwood has decided to open his first U.S. store (the other is in London), and fill all 1,500 square feet of it with shoes that look like this. But will it stock any of the collabs, say, with Erdem or Rodarte? The Shophound suspects it will, and we can only hope that the Kirkwood team is on the same page.
