Designer Mary Meyer just opened a boutique off the Morgan stop on the L train, adding a retail destination to a neighborhood that's never really been known for its shopping. The store, located around the corner from Roberta's Pizza and not far from twenty-shop mini-mall the Loom, carries Meyer's merchandise as well as a range of other labels selected to appeal to Bushwick's tattooed youth.
There's an in-house vintage shop organized by Bogart & Moore, jewelry from Lisa Levine, and housewares and bags from Cook & Gates. And then there are the shoes: Meyer has collaborated with Williamsburg's Shoe Market on a footwear selection that includes Osborn and Dolce Vita. The space also houses Meyer's studio, meaning that soon enough you'll be able to buy pieces designed on the premises.
