Walmart's latest attempt to win over New Yorkers comes in the form of a mailer touting the big box store's sustainability. The flier promotes Walmart's renewable energy and zero-waste initiatives on one side and its anti-hunger campaign on the other. Add that to the image—a bunch of crisp red apples—and the mailing "seems to imply that the store shares the same values as shoppers at the Park Slope Food Co-Op," says New York Observer blog PolitickerNY.
