People are definitely willing to wait their turn in order to peruse the extensive racks of up-to-75%-off merchandise at the Alexander Wang sample sale. This afternoon, the line extended down Greene Street and nearly curled around the corner of Prince, causing passersby in front of the unmarked building to wonder what could be causing such a hold-up. (One Twitterer estimated the crowd was 200 people strong.) Some die-hard fans tried to get into the friends and family sale prior to their 3pm curtain call, but they were stopped at the door. Once the clock struck the hour, though, there was no holding back the tide.—Annie Amrheim
