Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Womenswear brand Adam will be opening up another NYC store at 211 Elizabeth Street on September 3, which means that the current store at 678 Hudson Street in Meatpacking (you know, the one that decorated its windows like this back in March) will have some company downtown. He also tells WWD that he plans to launch handbags in February, and adds that shoes will at some point follow.

The new store is projected to do $2 million in its first year, which is maybe why designer Adam Lippes is already thinking of opening up a third store before his second is even complete. "For our next store in New York, we'll look on the Upper East Side. We do really well uptown. Three would be a great number of stores to have in Manhattan." But let's get back to that Elizabeth Street store. As far as decorating goes, he explains that he's planning to fill it with books, art, antiques, "stuff that I love," and of course, clothes.
