At the fourth annual Puppy Prom, thrown by the Seaport pet shop The Salty Dawg, neighborhood pups (with the help of their doting owners) upped their sartorial game this past Tuesday night. Raising the bar for apparel-tolerating pets everywhere, these cute little canines put on a show, wearing everything from matchy-matchy polka dot berets/collar combos to rocker studded neck-wear to extravagant $75 embroidered evening gowns. Maltese poodle ZZ was super excited to wear her $45 pink and black frock. Balk if you will, but the experience is priceless. ZZ's owner Ilene Zeins explained, "I never went to prom, so I wanted my little baby to have the whole prom experience."

Keeping in true prom night tradition a King and Queen were crowned at the end of the evening. An ecstatic (or possibly frightened) Prom Queen Holly really wowed the crowd in her hot pink and black tango skirt—a find from the children's department of Century 21. But Prom King Bandit went all out, rocking an eclectic bespoke jacket, Santa hat and scarf set (and stunners to accessorize)—thereby avoiding any awkward "which doggie wore it better" situations.
