COLUMBUS CIRCLE—The soon-to-open Uniqlo pop-up shops are steadily underway, as evidenced by a peek at the efficient and timely progress on the Broadway and 62nd Street location. Come mid-August, the already-installed tables and stark white shelves will be displaying all those affordable cashmere knits, denim and tees. [Racked Inbox; Previously]

UPPER EAST SIDE—Elevator-averse fans of refined paper correspondence will be happy to learn that 82-year old stationery purveyor Mrs. John L. Strong will unveil a diminutive ground floor spot on Madison Avenue between 62nd and 63rd Streets. Opening in September, the 100-square foot boutique will carry the stationery firm's "Ready to Write" collections, plus gifts and accessories. Those with custom "Bespoke" paper needs (i.e., wedding invitations) will still need to take a ride up to the original fifth floor office, though.[Racked Inbox]
