Over the holiday weekend, a giant citrus-hued decal appeared within the Spring Street windows of the future C. Wonder boutique, which will open this fall. C. who?, you may ask. It's the new luxury women's retail concept from Chris Burch. Yes, that Chris Burch—Tory's ex-husband—who is still on the Board of Directors of the Tory Burch brand. But back to the mysterious C. Wonder, which was announced last month as, "re-imagining retail with an experience that most women never imagined could exist—extraordinary products at an incredible value with luxury service in an inspiring environment—plus a little unexpected 'wow.'"
A bit esoteric, but what we do know is that C. Wonder will occupy over 5000 square feet on Spring Street between Crosby and Lafayette. The shop will offer womenswear, shoes, jewelry and accessories made of top-notch materials, brilliant colors and high-end quality. The boutique will also offer housewares, home décor, personal electronics and "a few show-stopping surprises". C. Wonder's e-commerce site, which is also set to launch in the fall, is just as cryptic—featuring just a landing page telling visitors "You've waited your whole life for this". Big promises, so maybe we should add it to our list.
