Next spring, Jason Wu will be following in the thermoplastic footsteps of Vivienne Westwood, Gareth Pugh, and Jean Paul Gaultier when he launches a collection with Brazilian shoe brand Melissa. WWD reports that Wu will be doing a capsule collection of two styles, both of which are iconic Melissa silhouettes: the Ultragirl ballet flat and the Lady Dragon peep-toe slingback. Each style will be available in black, burgundy, nude, and a transparent gray, and will feature Wu-like elements, such as a sunburst on the peep-toes and the Ms. Wu owl logo on the flats.

And as the designer is wont to do, he'll be adding his signature lace element to the inside lining—only this time it'll be a printed-lace image along the insoles. To celebrate the collab, Wu will be flying to Brazil this month to wrap the flagship Melissa store in the same (but this time, giant) cut-out lace.
