Shocker of the week: Angus "Man-God" McIntosh of well-known handsomeness repository Saturdays Surf did not make the final round of our first annual Hottest Shopkeep contest. Despite beginning the race as an underdog, dapper David Alperin of Goose Barnacle managed to pull ahead, ultimately defeating Angus with 1088 votes to his 784. The women ran an equally strong race, with [redacted] sales associate Jacqueline Lucrezi defeating Suite Orchard owner Sonia Huang by 113 points.
Ultimately, of course, there can only be one winner. Allow us to present the final round of the contest, in which David and Jacqueline go head-to-head for the title of New York's hottest retail personality in a poll lasting through the weekend. To everyone else who joined in, both voters and contestants: Thanks for participating in this heat wave experiment! And may the hottest hottie win.
Update: The company where Jacqueline Lucrezi works has asked to be removed from the contest, so, um, please forget you know their name. We're going to have to call this a forfeit. Congratulations to David Alperin, Hottest Shopkeep 2011 champion!
