Yesterday, the new joint-boutique Aesa + Electric Feathers opened up in Soho, marking the first time that either brand has ever had their own store. Friends since 2008, Aesa's Randi Mates and Electric Feather's Leana Zuniga have previously had their pieces sold in the same stores, like downtown's No.6, so it only made sense for them to combine forces and start up a shop together. Plus, what better time to buy a piece of jewelry than when you're already buying a dress, or vice-versa?
The Cut stopped by to take a look around, and returned with photos of the "Japanese gold leaf adorning the ceiling to the seventies-era couch reupholstered in coral-colored velvet," and jewelry displays carved out of Brazillian purple heartwood. Not to mention images of the silk dresses from Electric Feathers, and Aesa jewelery done up in bronze, leather, and brass, accented with rubies and quartz. For more photos, check out their slideshow here.
