The Plaza Loses Another Store

Luxury leather brand Ghurka is leaving the Plaza Retail Collection for a nearby space with a street-level entrance. The new store is located inside the Sherry-Netherland at Fifth Avenue and 59th Street. At 1,140 square feet spread out over two levels, it should be a bit roomier than the Plaza flagship, which NYMag calls "closetlike." Update: Our source just called to clarify his information. While the Plaza's Ghurka store will no longer be the brand's NYC flagship, it will not close entirely. [Racked Inbox]
