It's On: The Going-Out-of-Business Sale at Borders Begins Today

Let the liquidation sale begin! Now that Borders is 100% dunzo, the going-out-of-business sales are bound to be pretty wild. In a bit of a sad goodbye e-mail, CEO Mike Edwards announced that all of the liquidation sales would begin today. And they're pretty much a free for all.

For example, discounts of up to 40% will be offered on new releases, best sellers, CDs, DVDs, you name it. You can also use Borders gift cards, buy the fixtures, lights and maybe even the café equipment, and if you're a Borders Rewards Plus member, you'll still receive additional discounts on certain purchases. They're just giving and giving right up until the very end. But if you have Borders Bucks, you have to use those before they expire on July 31. We imagine, thought, that not that many people do, since Borders is, well, going out of business.
