Helmut Lang seems pretty over Helmut Lang. The artists and designer who started his namesake label has already donated thousands of garments from his archives to museums all over, and now he'll be shredding his remaining 6,000 pieces to use as material for sculptures. The fabrics will be used in stacked column structures—mixed in with fur, plastic, hair, metal, you name it—and will be on display in an exhibit called "Make it Hard" at East Hampton's Fireplace Gallery on July 22.
