Project Runway Contestant Was in Miss Universe, Has Sex Tape

Looks like it's going to be a juicy Season 9 of Project Runway. Gawker has pointed out that contestant Anya Ayoung-Chee is the same Anya Ayoung-Chee who was in the Miss Universe pageant in 2008 as Miss Trinidad and Tobago. The one who had a sex tape that leaked after the pageant. Small world, huh?

Lifetime has three videos online of the future-contestant doing things that wouldn't appear in a sex tape, like showing off her booze shelf, her workspace, and her surprisingly demure closet. But she's already setting the stage for the backlash: In her Q&A on the site, she name drops the pageant a few times (the first garment she ever made was a gray jumpsuit for Miss Universe), so it's likely to be a topic of conversation on the show. We don't imagine prim-and-proper Tim Gunn thinking of her too fondly after that erupts.
