Just when we thought that macarons were the new cupcake, Magnolia Bakery will be opening a bakeshop-within-a-shop in Bloomingdale's this September. Come fall, patrons will be able to partake in frosted baked goods from 7:30am to 10pm daily. The Shophound reports that the future Magnolia outpost will be located in the central Third Avenue entrance that leads to the men's department. While this spot will be convenient for both Bloomie's shoppers and cupcake jones-ers on the way to the train, the Shophound does question this choice of location for the sole reason that cupcakes are, well, girly.
