In this week's Critical Shopper, Jon Caramanica heads to Jay Kos in Nolita and immediately found a pair of shoes to his liking: "If you buy only one pair of $3,500 alligator loafers this year, these are the ones." He reports of ostentatious and eccentric colors and fabrics ("Dandy isn’t the half of it") but reasons that "these clothes have rugged guts, the fabrics sturdy and the cuts fair. They’re gentle outfits for tough guys." But perhaps the best part of this week's column? We learn that Caramanica considers Scott Disick to be one of the "most important style icons of the last decade." [NY Times]
