We're such suckers for jewelry sales and the Made Her Think sale—offering up to 80% off on rocker, tough girl baubles, bags and belts—does not disappoint. Not only are there samples and overstock from past seasons, but the most recent spring 2011 season is also majorly marked down. The jewelry deals generally run the gamut price-wise from $10 for a few never-produced and very past-season rings to $100 for chunkier, more elaborate blinged-out pieces. Designer Meredith Kahn and her lovely group of sales staffers are on hand to help you through the wealth of jewelry deals in the showroom, too. Since the sale just started, time is a-wasting, so let's get to it.
Signature Swarovski crystal-encrusted Talon knuckledusters (originally priced at $150) are $40. A bunch of the Siren pavé pieces (originally $88) , the everyday rocker girl Pendulum rings (with and without pavé and originally $63), and the more ergonomic looking Blade stone ring (originally $138) are also tagged at just $40. If you're feeling sassy, the double Talon knuckledusters are $60.
There are tons of other past-season pieces at fabulous markdown prices. We were tempted by the fringed chandelier necklace in a mossy green (and one lone black and gold-hued style), also for just $40, plus the coppery Talon earrings for just $35. We also admired super chunky and elaborately hooped necklaces, twisted and layered chain bracelets, and more, with prices topping out at $100 for super crystal-ed out bracelets.
The spring 2011 collection also offers sweet deals priced between $30 for simpler earrings to $100 for the Smashed Talon linked bracelets. The Gladiator Fringe statement ring, which boasts a shield-like crystalized pattern and a waterfall of chains, is only $60 (originally $225) and the teardrop-shaped Smashed Talon pavé ring is $70 (originally $143). We also admired a grouping of sparkly, yet relatively subtle crystal-encrusted copper and brass pendants for just $50.
There is also a small selection of bag samples, priced at $150 for canvas and leather satchels and $200 for full leather bags—all of them featuring rocker accents of distressed disks pierced with hooped links. Leather belts with the same embellishments are $100 and there is also a smattering of studded leather cuffs for $40.
The sale is cash and credit only (so leave the checks and money orders at home._ There is additional stock in the back for replenishment and it might be worth revisiting the sale again, as Meredith hints at "surprise" items and possible cuture markdowns.
