Bergdorf Goodman’s John Barrett Salon has just introduced a new amenity called Braid Bar. For $45, a stylist will weave your hair into pigtails, ponytails, or one of those elaborate milkmaid looks that have been trendy for the past few years. The idea isn’t just to cash in on a trend, but to attract a new kind of customer. Says salon spokeswoman Jenn Goldate, "It's also a good way to bring in girls who maybe can't afford to come get their hair cut and colored, but they can still come get a really cool new thing." [NYDN]
