In previous seasons, Michelle Obama-anointed and print-happy designer Thakoon launched a duo of capsule lines, straightforwardly christened Addition and Carbon Copy. Both lines were priced slightly less, but still comparable to his mainline pieces. Lucky for us aspirational Thakoon-fans, the designer is changing things up a bit by taking Addition and Carbon Copy to the contemporary (i.e., less expensive) market.
To break things down: The casual, daytime-friendly Addition pieces should retail between $170 to $650, while past prints are re-purposed into the Carbon Copy line to run from $155 to $355. Pricier than the Thakoon x Target frocks, but still a long way from the usual four digit price tags. Look for Addition to mix and mingle with its contemporary cohorts on 5F at Bergdorf Goodman and in the Co-op department at Barneys. In further Thakoon news, be sure to keep an eye out for an exclusive dress collab between Addition and Barneys.
